Jim Kazanjian

Jim Kazanjian recieved both a master and bachelors degree in fine art from the Kansas City Art Institute back in the early nineties. He enjoys fragmenting his photographs into seperate pictures and eventually combining them to form one surrealistic landscape. THe two subjects he enjoys investigating through his work are time and space. He creates fantastical architecture with his combination of photographs, that is a both out of place, and incomprehensible.

"Untitled Implosion"

What I love most about Kazanjian’s work  is his drive to make a seemingly normal object suddenly unfamiliar. The amazing structures he creates are sometimes unfinished, and smoking. Almost as thoughthey are not meant to exsist in the real world and must be destroyed.
